To answer theothermouie: Well technically you can compost the meat, fish and dairy at home but it will attract pests. Its best sent to a proper composting site where it will be composted in compliance with various legislation/regulations etc.
To get good compost you need to get your ratio right 'browns' eg cardboard and 'green' eg plant cuttings so yes its a pretty good list for home composting... Ok taking my old Recycling Officers hat off now :)
